A competitor on the thirteenth season of NBC's The Voice, he started his stint on the show as a member of Jennifer Hudson's team. He would later be stolen by Miley Cyrus. 

Before Fame

He studied child and adolescent studies at Bowie State University. Thereafter, he began working in retail until he decided to quit and pursue music full time.

Prior to his appearance on The Voice, he would sing in a short video series titled "Soul Sunday" on his Instagram account, stephanmarcellusmusic. 

Family Life

Both of his parents are from Guyana, South America.
