Stephanie Raymond

About

Former professional basketball player who played for the Chicago Sky in the WNBA. She was also the first Northern Illinois University Husky player ever selected in the WNBA Draft. She appeared in 20 games for the Sky during the 2007 season. Her career ended early due to a leg injury. In 2019 she was inducted into NIU's Hall of Fame. 

Before Fame

She was born in Rockford, Illinois. She started playing basketball at age 9. She attended Rockford Lutheran High School and led her high school team to three straight championships. She then played for Northern Illinois University before being drafted in the WNBA. 

Trivia

She played three basketball seasons overseas in Turkey, Poland, and Ukraine. During her high school basketball career, she scored 2,056 points for her team. She began playing football in the X League in Chicago in 2020. She enjoys going to the movie theatre to watch movies, completing Sudoku puzzles, and reading romance novels. She also considers herself to be a good cook.

She was raised by her single mother and has four siblings.
