Before Fame
He was the recipient of his first drum kit when he was just 2 years old, and began taking lessons at age 9. He played with a group called Lin Biviano Big Band for 2 years beginning at the age of 19. He attended Berklee College of Music.
Trivia
He was named the #1 All-Around Drummer five years consecutively by Modern Drummer magazine readers. He was induced into the the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame in 2002.
