Actress known for playing Dr. Samira Mohan on the hit HBO Max medical drama The Pitt along her roles in other television series such as Blue Bloods, The Enemy Within, The Village, New Amsterdam, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and Everything's Trash. She is also known for having appeared in films including Spoiler Alert and Pinball: The Man Who Saved the Game. 

Before fame

She attended Pathways School in Noida where she excelled academically and graduated as the valedictorian of the Class of 2015. She returned to the United States after high school to attend Columbia University in New York City where she studied neuroscience and completed a minor in gender studies. She began pursuing acting opportunities and gradually transitioned into professional television work. She landed early guest roles in television dramas such as Blue Bloods in 2018. She began appearing in network television shows in the late 2010s including The Enemy Within and The Village in 2019. She later appeared in the NBC medical drama New Amsterdam in 2021 followed by a role in Law & Order: SVU in 2022. She expanded into film with roles in Spoiler Alert and Pinball: The Man Who Saved the Game in 2022. Her biggest breakthrough came when she was cast as Dr. Samira Mohan in The Pitt in 2025. 

Trivia

She scored in the 99th percentile on the MCAT before ultimately deciding to pursue acting full time instead of attending medical school. She starred as Vaidehi in the stage play House of India at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego in 2025. She enjoys traveling to beaches and eating Szechuan food. She attended New York Fashion Week in 2026.

Family life

She was in the United States to Tamil parents from India. Her family moved to New Delhi, India when she was 3 years old and is where she spent much of her childhood.
