Tananai

About

Italian singer-songwriter and rapper and record producer whose 2021 single, "Baby God***n," went viral on Spotify. In November of that year he was one of 12 acts selected to compete in the televised competition show Sanremo Giovani, which would choose three newcomers as contestants of the 72nd Sanremo Music Festival. He placed second with the entry, "Esagerata." In 2022 he again competed and made it to the festival, and later put forth the song "Tango" as his 2023 entry. 

Before Fame

His career began in 2017 when he signed with Universal Music Italia and released the studio album To Discover and Forget under the pseudonym Not For Us. He then adopted the moniker Tananai and released singles like "Bear Grylls" and "Calcutta" in 2019. In 2020 he released the debut EP entitled Piccoli Boati. 

Trivia

He plays the piano and the drums. His video for "Baby God***n" has over 19 million views on his self-titled YouTube channel. 

Family Life

His real name is Alberto Cotta Ramusino. In April of 2022 he posted a photo of his father holding two of his platinum records to his tananaimusica Instagram and tananaimusica Facebook page. He has a black English bulldog, an orange cat and a grey and white cat.
