Professional basketball player known for his breakout performance with the Los Angeles Clippers during the 2021 NBA Playoffs, where he gained national attention after scoring 39 points in Game 6 of the 2021 Western Conference Semifinals against the Utah Jazz and helped the Clippers reach the Western Conference Finals for the first time in franchise history. He is also known for being selected 48th overall in the 2019 NBA Draft and for having played for the Los Angeles Clippers, Atlanta Hawks, and Brooklyn Nets.

Before fame

He attended Tilton School in New Hampshire where he became a standout prep player and four-star recruit. He committed to Florida State University and played college basketball for the Florida State Seminoles from 2015 to 2019. He declared for the NBA Draft after his senior season and was selected by the Los Angeles Clippers in 2019.

Trivia

He made seven three-pointers in Game 6 against the Utah Jazz during the 2021 NBA Playoffs which set a Clippers playoff record at the time.

Family life

He was born in Brooklyn, New York, and moved to Lowell, Massachusetts, during his childhood. His mother Daynia La-Force is a former collegiate basketball coach who has coached at programs including Rhode Island. His parents are originally from Saint Lucia.
