Before Fame

He was devoted to basketball as a kid and even played on North Carolina's top youth team at Patterson Prep. He dreamed of moving on to the NBA, but he had to abandon the sport to take care of his mother during a long illness and after old injuries caught up to him.

He's also worked as a motivational and sales trainer for companies and executives and has also been involved in philanthropy through his work with Voices for Victory campaign.
