Film director and producer who is widely remembered for his contributions to the alternative cinema movement in the Philippines. In 2011, he won the Best Director award for Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story at the Metro Manila Film Festival. 

Before Fame

He studied comparative literature and fine arts at the University of the Philippines.

Trivia

His first movie was a short documentary called Mt. Banahaw, Holy Mountain. His final film Tragic Theater released in 2015.
