Retired American competitive figure skater and Olympian known for being the 1996 World champion, for becoming a six-time U.S. national champion, a three-time Olympian, and winning six World medals.
Before Fame
He began learning how to ice skate when he was 5 years old. He moved to Philadelphia when he was 10 to train with Richard Callaghan before training at several skate clubs. He won his first medal at the 1987 World Junior Championships, where he won the silver medal.
Trivia
He was inducted into the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 2008. He toured with Stars on Ice after retiring from competition. He then became a professional ice skating coach.
Family Life
He was born in Chatham, Massachusetts but moved to Philadelphia when he was 10 years old. He has two sons named Ayrton and Ryder with Sabrina Corbaci, who is also an ice skater.
