Most well known for her producing credits of Afro-American Work Songs in a Texas Prison and the PBS acclaimed documentary Pete Seeger: The Power of Song.
She was a contributor to the Newport Folk Festival during the '60s and became known as a folk music specialist as a producer.
She produced and directed Rainbow Quest from 1965-1966 for public television.
She was survived by three children named Daniel, Mika, and Tinya.
She and her husband Pete Seeger co-founded the Clearwater Festival. She was married to him from 1943 until her death.
