Multi-instrumentalist and folk singer known for her albums The Way of the Weeping Willow, Mountain of Rose Quartz, and Pushin' Against a Stone. She's gained her following through her sound which mixes folk and soul with various southern styles.
She grew up in small towns in Tennessee, learning about music from both the gospel in her church and her father, who worked as a promoter for the likes of Bobby Womack.
She originally started performing as part of band in the early 2000s before embarking on her solo career. She signed with the label Sunday Best in 2013.
She grew up with four younger siblings. She was married to Michael Joyner, with whom she played in a band, until 2005.
