Russian left winger who won back-to-back Stanley Cups as a member of the Detroit Red Wings in 1997 and 1998. After moving to the Kontinental Hockey League, he again won consecutive titles, winning the Gagarin Cup with Salavat Yulaev Ufa and Dynamo Moscow.
Before Fame
He played with Khimik Voskresensk and CSKA Moscow in the Soviet Championship League before being drafted by the Red Wings in the 1990 NHL Entry Draft.
Trivia
In 1991, he was in a major car accident in which his passenger, Kirill Tarasov, was killed. Kozlov required a facial reconstruction and rehabilitation before making his return to hockey.
