English guitarist who joined Echo & the Bunnymen in 1978 as part of the band's original lineup. He and his bandmates found mainstream success in the United Kingdom with their 1983 single "The Cutter" and their 1984 single "The Killing Moon." He is also known for exploring a more experimental musical direction with his solo albums, such as 1978's Weird as Fish and 1982's Themes for Grind.

He attended Maghull Deyes Lane County Secondary Modern near Liverpool, England.
Trivia
Some of his biggest musical inspirations are Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, David Bowie. In 2012, he exhibited his visual artwork at Substrate Gallery in Los Angeles.
