Guitarist and singer known professionally as YUKI. She founded Judy and Mary in 1992, but left in 2001 to pursue her solo career with her debut album Prismic. Her hit songs include Sayonara Bystander, Flag Wo Tatero, and Nagai Yume.
She graduated from junior college Hakodate Otani College and went on to work as a beautician for several years.
She has also been a prominent member of the six-piece group NiNa and the all-girls rock group Mean Machine.
In 2000 she married Magokoro Brothers frontman Yoichi Kuramochi (professionally known as YO-KING). Together they had three children, the oldest of which passed away in 2005.
B-52's lead singer Kate Pierson was her bandmate in NiNa.
