Russian public figure and activist known for her political activism and for being the widow of the Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny. She has often been called the "first lady of the Russian opposition."
Before Fame
She attended Plekhanov Russian University of Economics. She met Alexei Navalny while on a trip abroad in Turkey. She became active alongside Navalny by becoming the first secretary and assistant to him in 2007. She became better known after her husband had been hospitalized in 2020 after a suspected poisoning incident. She advocated for his care and to hold those suspected of poisoning him accountable.

Family Life
She was born and raised in Moscow, Russia (formerly Soviet Union). She married Alexei Navalny in 2000, and they were married until he died in 2024. They had two children together.

She and her husband have been vocally critical of Vladimir Putin. She met with Joe Biden in February 2024 after her husband died. She addressed the European Parliament after being invited by Roberta Metsola.
