Actor, singer, and songwriter known for playing Rodge Bronson on The Rookie and for writing and performing the viral song "Daddy Cop." He is also known for his acting in Defibrillator and Zander Hawley: The Ventura Exit along with his music including songs "Until We Both Get Bored," "911," "Wake Up!," "Know It Yet," and "UR SO PRETTY."

Before fame

He began his career as a singer and songwriter in the indie music scene before gaining recognition as an actor. He released his debut album When I Get Blue in May 2017. He released his second full-length album I INVENTED TIME TRAVEL in 2020. He began transitioning into acting in the early 2020s. He made one of his earliest screen appearances in the film Defibrillator in 2022. He continued building his acting résumé in 2023 when he appeared on The Rookie in the episode titled "Daddy Cop" which introduced his character Rodge Bronson. He gained significant attention for his role on The Rookie especially after performing the in-universe song "Daddy Cop," which became a standout moment from the show. He expanded his presence on the series throughout 2023 and 2024 and continued appearing through 2025.

Trivia

He collaborated early in his career with Phoebe Bridgers who appeared on his song "Until We Both Get Bored." He has released multiple songs connected directly to The Rookie.

Family life

He is the son of Alexi Hawley who is the creator and showrunner of The Rookie. He has three siblings including Beckett Hawley who has also acted.
