In 2013, he started his youth soccer career with Al-Shabab FC. In 2018, he joined Spanish club Sporting Gijón's U19 squad on a six-month loan. He made his debut for the Saudi Arabia national team in September 2019 and joined the club in February 2021 on a five-year-contract. In February 2021, he made his final appearance for Al-Shabab but left the pitch in tears at being replaced by Odion Ighalo.
