German professional soccer player for the Scottish Premiership club Rangers. Throughout his lengthy career, he has played for clubs including the Polish club Lechia Gdańsk, the German club Hoffenheim, the Croatian club HNK Rijeka, and the Greek club PAOK FC. He began representing Croatia on their national team in 2011.
