She learned to ski when she was three years old, but her older brother convinced her to switch to snowboarding when she was seven. She competed in rodeos and horse jumping events before becoming involved in competitive snowboarding.
Trivia
She won the gold medal in the halfpipe at the FIS Snowboarding World Championships 2013 in Stoneham-et-Tewkesbury, Quebec, Canada, at the age of sixteen. This made her the second youngest person to win the World Championships. She attended the University of Colorado, where she studied psychology. In October 2023 she mentioned via an instagram post that she had returned to school to study veterinary medicine.
Family Life
Her older brother is fellow Olympic snowboarder Taylor Gold. Their father, Ken Gold, is a former professional moguls skier.
