Before fame
He received his first guitar for his tenth birthday and grew up determined to pursue music professionally. He attended Afrikaanse Hoër Seunskool and then studied music production at the Campus of Performing Arts. He released his debut single, "In the Night" in December 2017 followed by his first EP No More Empty Words in 2018.
Trivia
He achieved his breakthrough with the May 2021 single "Ek Kan Net Bid" and dedicated the song to his mother who died from COVID-19. He released his debut album Zonneblom in October 2021. He featured mixed martial artist Dricus Du Plessis in the music video for "Die Kortste Hier" in 2024.
Family life
His parents encouraged his artistic interests while he was growing up. He established a recording and rehearsal studio with his brother-in-law.
