Filipino businessman best known for co-founding the startup companies Mostron, Chips and Technologies, and S3 Graphics. He is also a noted philanthropist, having served as the head of organizations like the Dado Banatao Educational Foundation.
He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Electric Engineering from the Mapua Institute of Technology.
He received the Master Entrepreneur of the Year Award from Ernst & Young, Inc. Magazine, and Merrill Lynch Business Financial Services in 1997.
He married Maria Cariaga and has children named Rey, Desiare and Tala.
He met future Apple CEO Steve Jobs during his time as a member of the Homebrew Computer Club in the 70's.
