Basketball coach and former athlete who is widely recognized for his work as the head coach of the University of Connecticut's men's team. He coached the team during consecutive appearances in the NCAA Division I national championships.

He played basketball during his time as a student at St. Anthony High School.

Trivia

He played collegiate basketball at Seton Hall University. He started his head coaching career at Saint Benedict's Preparatory School in the year 2001. In the year 2024, it was reported that he was being vetted for the head coaching job for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Family life

His brother Bobby Hurley has been the head coach at the University of Arizona. He is the son of Bob Hurley Sr. He and his wife, Andrea Hurley, have a son named Andrew.
