Tech entrepreneur who is best known as the CEO and co-founder of the business analytics site Mattermark. She founded the company after having started and shut down her previous start-up, Referly, in April 2012.
She began working at age 14, and had held a multitude of jobs by age 18. She dropped out of Olympia Community College, and eventually attended the Y Combinator Seed Accelerator program in the summer of 2012.
She was the first employee of the cloud communications company Twilio. She is also an avid blogger, and often writes about women in the technology industry.
She was born and raised just outside of Seattle, Washington. Her father was also an entrepreneur, and she worked for his business during her teenage years.
She and fellow technology executive Sheryl Sandberg are both known as being vocal protagonists of the importance of women in tech executive positions.
