Prior to being drafted, he attended Eagle's Landing Christian Academy in McDonough, Georgia.

He made his major league debut playing against the Milwaukee Brewers on September 9, 2020 as a member of the Tigers.

He is the son of former major league outfielder Mike Cameron.
