Associate profession with tenure at the University of South Florida where he teaches Molecular Pharmacology and Physiology. He is also a research scientist for the Institute for Human and Machine Cognition.
Before joining the USF teaching faculty, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship in neuroscience at Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University. He also graduated from Robert Wood Johnson's Medical School as well as Rutgers University where he earned his B.S. and PhD.
He holds membership with several organizations including the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine Society, the Aerospace Medical Association, and the Society of Neuroscience.
He shared a photo of his wife in Costa Rica to his Instagram in July of 2017.
