Before Fame

He had eight overseas deployments, including service in both the Iraq War and the War in Afghanistan after he enlisted in the Navy in 1999. He was trained as a medic, a sniper, and an explosives expert before becoming a Navy Seal in 2005.

Trivia

In 2018, he was charged with ten offenses under the Uniform Code of Military Justice. He was convicted of posing with a deceased detainee, but all of the other charges against him were dropped.
