Brazilian journalist and television host who is known for his reporting and coverage with the Rede Globo network. He is recognized for hosting several news related programs for the network and for his coverage several FIFA world cups including in Mexico in 1986, Italy in 1990, and the United States in 1994 among other World Cup matches.
He earned his degree in Journalism from the School of Communications and Arts at the University of Sao Paulo. He was hired as a reporter by the Jovem Pan radio station when he was just 19. He then started working as the night shift reporter for the Rede Globo network in May of 1979.
He is also known for having been selected to participate in the Special Projects Unit of the Globo News Central where he led Globo Mar, a series dedicated to documentaries about sea-related issues and subjects.
He was born and raised in Brazil and married fellow television journalist Sandra Annenberg. Together they have three children.
