American television show host who was known for his work on the Canadian series Mr. Dressup.
He went to North Yarmouth Academy in Maine and started working on an early version of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in 1963.
He also did a traveling stage show called Tales from the Tickle Trunk.
He had two children with his wife, Marlene.
