British comedian and writer who performed her solo tour, "Work in Progress," across the UK in 2023 before joining five other female Muslim comics the following year for their UK tour as "The Comedy Queens." She has been a contestant on game shows including The Big Fat Quiz of Everything, Outsiders, and Taskmaster. She has also served as the Head Judge for the BBC New Comedy Awards.
Before Fame
In 2015, she attended a course on comedy writing and performing after having discovered it through Meetup. She subsequently launched her stand-up comedy career, becoming a finalist in the Funny Women in London competition as well as a finalist for the Max Turner Prize.
Trivia
She hosted the fourth season of BBC Asian Network's Ramadan-centered series, Not Even Water. On the program, she interviewed a diverse roster of guests that included Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan.
Family Life
She was raised alongside thirteen siblings. Her father tragically passed away when she was only six years old. She has been both married and divorced two times.
