Perhaps most well known for portraying Molly McGuire, the love interest of Bob Dylan's character, in the 1987 musical film Hearts of Fire, she is also notable for her career as a recording artist. Her solo rock albums include Beyond the Pale (1986), Heart Like a Gun (1989), and Unbroken (2011).
She released her debut, self-titled album on the Atlantic Records label in 1985.
She was a backing vocalist for Warrant's 1990 studio album Cherry Pie.
Born to Irish parents, she spent her childhood in Phillipsburg, New Jersey, U.S.A. Following a brief first marriage to music producer Beau Hill, she married again and raised two children.
Her one-time boyfriend, guitarist Reb Beach, contributed to her Beyond the Pale album.
