In the 1940s, '50s, '60s, and early '70s, this Northern Irish forward played for Cliftonville, Coleraine, Ballymena United, Ely City, Cambridge United, and several other soccer clubs. In the early 1960s, he was also a member of the Northern Ireland national team.
He played his youth career for the Wellington Street Boys' Brigade, the Ballyclare Comrades, and the Harryville Amateurs.
He attended Queen's University Belfast.
