Indian Punjabi singer and live performer, widely known mononymously as "Nikku," best known for his strong vocals and undeniable stage presence. Having made a substantial contribution to the Punjabi pop and bhangra music genres, he has become a celebrated artist whose discography spans across ballads, dance tracks, devotional songs, and more. Some of his most popular albums have included "Saade Mundey Da Viah," "Always Talli," "Singh by Nature," and "Punjeban Wali."

Before fame

He first developed an interest in music through local cultural performances and community events in his hometown of Punjab. He went on to study under regional music teachers and perform at modest events prior to his entry to the larger Punjabi music scene.

Trivia

He has recorded hit songs for a great number of celebrated films across many genres, including titles such as Carry on Jatta, Dil Pardesi Ho Gia, Mere Yaar Kaminey, and Bade Changay Ne Mere Yaar Kaminey. He also recorded a special collaboration with comedian Jaswinder Bhalla on a Chankata series comedy album called "Kadd Tiya Kassran."

Family life

He married his wife, Koyal Roy, in 2014. Together, they share two children.

He collaborated with Veena Malik on a song for the 2014 T-Series film Eh Dil Da Mamla. He has also worked with fellow actors and musicians including Karan Kundra and Shakti Kapoor.
