Before fame
He initially built a long-term career in education working directly with children who have SEMH and additional learning needs. He spent nearly a decade teaching in specialist and alternative education settings developing hands-on strategies to support emotional regulation, focus, and confidence in the classroom before he began making online content. He began posting content on Instagram and TikTok in March 2023. His content became popular very quickly as he had amassed over 1 million TikTok followers and over 300,000 Instagram followers by early 2026.
Trivia
He is open about being diagnosed with ADHD at 34 years old which he frequently references when discussing neurodiversity. His children's book ADHD: Rapped Up! was released in September 2025. He appeared on the podcast Inside Voices: A Teacher Podcast in an episode titled "Teaching Children with ADHD: An Interview With Expert Jamie Gilbert" in January 2024.
