Latvian professional basketball player who is best known for playing the position of small forward. He is known for playing for a variety of club teams but is best known for his work on the Latvian National Team.
With a passion for the sport at a young age, he grew to 6 ft 7.5 in, making him a natural at the sport. In 2000, he first began his professional career when he began playing for Ventspils. As he continued to progress and move onto a variety of teams he eventually gained recognition which put him on the National Team.
He officially retired from the sport in 2015 after not having played since the year of 2013.
He became an agent for his younger brother, Kristaps Porzingis, who is also a professional basketball player for the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association.
