Famous the world over as the lead singer of popular doo-wop group The Skyliners. He rose to fame for penning their popular single "Since I Don't Have You" in 1959, and would sing with the group until his death in October 2017.

He found fame with his group The Skyliners' eponymous debut album released in 1958. 

Trivia

His single "Since I Don't Have You" was used in the 1973 classic film American Graffiti by director George Lucas. He and The Skyliners scored another hit with a cover of "Pennies from Heaven" in 1960 before splitting in 1983. 

Family Life

He was originally born and raised in the Knoxville neighborhood of Pittsburgh.

His single "Since I Don't Have You" has been covered by Barbra Streisand, Stevie Wonder, and Art Garfunkel since its 1959 release.
