College basketball coach who took over as the head coach of the Arkansas State University Red Wolves in 2008. He took the job after coaching at Louisiana State University for more than a decade and leading the Tigers to their first NCAA Final Four appearance in 20 years.
He played varsity basketball at Belhaven College before receiving his Master's degree in Education from Mississippi State University in 1977.
He was named the Louisiana Sports Writers Association Class AAA Coach of the Year as a high school coach. He later became the winningest coach in Samford University's history.
