Vocalist and bassist who formed one of Chile's most successful rock acts, Los Prisioneros, in 1979. Following the band's dissolution, he found success as a solo artist with releases like Jorge González (1993) and El Futuro Se Fue (1994).
He met the other members of Los Prisioneros during his first year of high school in San Manuel, Chile.
He formed the minimal dance group Los Updates in 2006.
He married Loreto Otero in 2002 and was previously married to Jacqueline Fresard. He has children named Antonino, Leonardo and Jorge.
He worked with composer Gustavo Santaolalla during the making of the Los Prisioneros album Corazones (1990).
