Josh Jung

About

Professional third baseman who was drafted by the Texas Rangers during the first round of the 2019 MLB Draft. He helped the Rangers win the 2023 World Series. Prior to his time in the MLB, he attended Texas Tech University where he was twice named a member of the First Team All-Big 12. During his junior season, he was given the Bobby Bragan Collegiate Slugger of the Year Award. 

Before Fame

He first began his professional career playing for the AZL Rangers rookie affiliate team. He recorded a home run in his very first at-bat with the team.

Trivia

He made his major league debut playing against the Toronto Blue Jays on September 9, 2022. In his very first major league at-bat he hit a home run at Globe Life Field in Texas. 

Family Life

Growing up, he lived with his family in San Antonio, Texas. His brother, Jace, was drafted by the Detroit Tigers during the first round of the 2022 MLB Draft.
