About
Brazilian ballet dancer known for being a principal dancer with New York City Ballet, for performing leading roles in Balanchine ballets such as Agon, Serenade, and Swan Lake, and for being the founder of the men's dancewear brand Furlan Dancewear.
Before fame
He began ballet training when he was 11 years old at the Bolshoi Theater School in Brazil. He competed at the USA International Ballet Competition in Jackson, Mississippi in 2010. He did not advance far in the competition, but he was noticed by leaders from Miami City Ballet who offered him a scholarship to train at the Miami City Ballet School. He relocated to the United States in 2011 to continue his training and officially joined Miami City Ballet the following year in 2012. He was promoted to soloist in 2015 with Miami City Ballet and became a principal dancer in 2017. He debuted with New York City Ballet in 2019. He founded Furlan Dancewear in 2022.
Trivia
He has originated roles in new works including Justin Peck's Rotunda and Jamar Roberts' Emanon - In Two Movements. He was selected by Mikhail Baryshnikov to perform at the Joinville Dance Festival early in his training.

he was born and raised in Joinville, Santa Catarina, Brazil.
