Fashion designer and stylist to the stars, she first rose to prominence in the 1990s styling artists like Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes, and Sean Combs for their music videos. She has since launched her own fashion line through HSN and become the Style Architect for the U.S. version of the X Factor.
After working several years in investment banking, her friend offered her an internship at Uptown MCA Records. When someone at the record company requested a stylist, she took the job with no professional experience.
In 1994, she launched her styling company The Modé Squad,Inc..
She and her husband have one daughter, Summer Hope Chamblin, who has become incredibly popular on Instagram.
In 2013, she became the host of the show "Style Boost" on Jay Z's Life and Times website.
