Turkish barber, entrepreneur, and social media personality known for founding the Kadir Alkan salon brand and creating the patented Anatomic Haircut method. He is also known for his haircut transformation videos, celebrity-inspired styles, and barber tutorials shared on his Instagram account @kadiralkanofficial and his YouTube channel Kadir Alkan TV which has helped him amass over 500,000 Instagram followers and 210,000 YouTube subscribers.

Before fame

He grew up in a barbering family and entered the profession at a young age. He began working in the trade when he was just 12 years old. He pursued formal education in multiple fields alongside his work as a barber. He studied Computer Programming at Kocaeli University, Business at Anadolu University, and Educational Coaching at Başkent University. He chose to fully commit to barbering after completing his education. He launched his YouTube channel Kadir Alkan TV in 2016 and began sharing content on YouTube and on Instagram.

Trivia

He represented Turkey in an international hair competition in Italy in 2015 and contributed to a world runner-up finish. He was part of a Turkish team effort that achieved a third-place result at an international competition in Kyiv in 2019. He delivered a TEDx talk in 2019. He has appeared in Turkish media outlets such as Sabah and Hürriyet where he has discussed hairstyle trends and his business journey.

Family life

He was born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey. He comes from a multi-generational barbering family with the profession being passed down from his grandfather to his father and then to him. He has a son named Yağız.
