After rising to fame for her role as Caitlin Richards-Deschanel on the NBC soap opera Sunset Beach, she portrayed Sheridan Crane in nearly fifty episodes of Passions. She is also well known for her work in The Prince and Me series of movies.
After earning a Political Science and Communications degree from Concordia College, she pursued a modeling career. She went on to make her screen acting debut in the 1996 movie Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, Part 2.
In 2003, she starred as Elizabeth Bennett in a 2003 cinematic adaptation of Jane Austen's classic novel Pride and Prejudice.
She spent her youth in Grand Forks, North Dakota and Grand Junction, Colorado. She later lived and worked in both Chicago, Illinois and Los Angeles, California.
