Actress widely considered to be one of the best known and top-rated actresses in the Arab world. She has appeared in an extensive list of television series', most notably The Curse of Mud, Qalam Homra, Khatoon, and Souq Al Harrir. Her karessbasharofficial Instagram account currently boasts over 1.5 million followers, and contains behind-the-scenes and on-set photos of her many TV projects, as well as snapshots of her attendinb various special events. 

Before Fame

She started her career in the entertainment industry as a member of the band Zenobia. Her first acting roles were in the 1996 series Al-Abadid, and The Family of 6 Stars. Her entry into the art world came in 1992.

Trivia

She won a Best Supporting Actress Award in 2005 from the Cairo Arab Media Festival for her role in the television series Al Tareq. Over time, she has appeared in more than two dozen different film projects, from television to movies.

Family Life

She was born to a Kurdish father and a Syrian mother. She is married to husband Shady Jawad, with whom she has one son named Amjad.
