Before Fame

She started playing soccer at primary school in Rochdale, then came up through the Blackburn's youth academy. Her father made her study the play of Spanish midfielder David Silva, who starred for Manchester City.

After withstanding criticism of her performance in the 2019 women's World Cup, she started seeing psychologists to regain her confidence and keep her mental state even. As a child, she named her pet goldfish after Nicolas Anelka and Shaun Goater in honor of Manchester City's strikers.
