Before fame

He became fascinated by James Brown's performance in "Get on Up" when he was only two years old, instantly sparking a lifelong passion for music and performance. He began writing his own music when he was only nine years old.

He has performed at major events including the James Brown Birthday Bash in Augusta, GA, at the personal invitation of funk music pioneer and Parliament-Funkadelic collective member Bootsy Collins. He has appeared at festivals including the Westbank Heritage Festival and NOLA Christmas Fest. He also earned the title of youngest entertainer to ever perform at the House of Blues New Orleans. In 2019, he starred alongside Big Freedia in a commercial for New Orleans personal injury attorney and former Democratic State Representative for Louisiana Juan LaFonta.

Family life

He was born Paris Josef Nicholas. His mother has stated that even before he was born, he often kept her awake with his constant "dancing" in the womb as early as six months into her pregnancy. As the baby of his family, he grew up with several older siblings. His grandmother, Willie Mae Parks, affectionately nicknamed him "Happy Feet" when he first learned to walk.
