Lorenzo Castillo

About

Interior designer from Spain respected for his layered approach to design across periods and styles. He began his career by opening an antique shop before offering design services to his customers. He has since designed spaces globally in private homes, hotels, restaurants, and luxury retail.

Before Fame

He studied art history at the Complutense University of Madrid, and later studied at the Antique School of Madrid. He has also studied Silverware and Jewelry at Museum Fine Arts in Boston, and History of American Art at Columbia University.

Trivia

He describes his style as "classic style with a modern language". He has been featured in Architectural Digest's 100 multiple times, and named in Elle Decor USA's A‑List. 

Family Life

He credits his grandparents as artistic influences because of their art collections and well-curated homes. His brother, Santiago Castillo, works as an artist.
