Pitcher who was selected 16th overall in the 2012 MLB Draft by the Washington Nationals. He became one of the top pitching prospects in the minor leagues before making his debut for the National in 2016. After the 2016 season, he was traded to the Chicago White Sox.
He played high school baseball for Harvard-Westlake School in North Hollywood, California, but missed a portion of his senior season after spraining the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow.
He commit to play college baseball for UCLA before being drafted by the Nationals and signing a minor league contract with the team.
His mother, Lindsay Frost, is an actress with a number of credits. His father Rick Giolito and grandfather Warren Frost are also actors and his uncles Mark and Scott Frost are writers.
He and fellow pitcher Stephen Strasburg were both first round picks of the Nationals. Strasburg was selected first overall in 2009.
