Before Fame

Her father was from Amarillo, Texas and her mother was from Colorado.

Trivia

Before giving birth to Selena, doctors told her that she had a tumor that needed to be removed. It was while getting a second opinion on the tumor that she was told she was pregnant, and it was initially thought that she would be having a second son.

Family Life

She met Abraham Quintanilla Jr. while he was on duty. They married in June of 1963. She and Abraham had three children together, including A.B. Quintanilla III and Suzette Quintanilla.
