Perhaps known best for a Good Morning America segment that documented her medical and personal journeys post-skin cancer diagnosis, Charlesworth is also famous for hosting Eyewitness News on New York City's ABC station.
After graduating from high school in New Jersey, she earned her bachelor's degree in public policy from Duke University (in North Carolina) and went on to study economics at Germany's University of Freiburg.
During the mid-1990s, she anchored segments on North Carolina's WNCN-TV channel.
Her first child, Isabelle Marlene, was born in October of 2006, and her son, Jack James, made his debut in September of 2009.
She and Sandra Bookman both rose to fame for their work on New York City's WABC-TV Eyewitness News program.
