Before Fame

He attended high school at the Freiherr-von-Stein-Gymnasium, and since he was expected to take over his family's butcher business, he did a two-year internship there. Afterwards, he studied law at Ruhr University. Not finding law to be his calling, he began his career as a DJ and song mixer.

He also does pop song mixing for artists like Beyoncé, Britney Spears, and Moby. He embarks on many would tours and considers his music "a marathon, not a sprint." He also hosted MTV's Chillout Zone, Party Zone, Select, and In Touch.
